Today, in the shadow of ideologically driven pluralistic postmodernism––where matters of religion, truth, ethics & values, moral absolutes, identity, tolerance, and inclusivism are seemingly, inseparably connected to cultural bias, subjectivity, relativity, and pragmatism; where the inescapable reality of objective truth is being reduced to personal interpretation, not correspondence with reality––holding true to the essence of Christianity necessitates a vastly different approach in both faith and practice from that which is popular, accessible and appealing. Believers must be prepared to stand firm on the Absolute Truth of God and Holy Scripture to earnestly contend for their faith, while also confronting and engaging the thinking and demands of pluralism, especially that which dogmatically encourages the uncritical acceptance of all beliefs and perspectives regarding matters of reason, community, religion, and self-identification. How do we accomplish such?
