Southern Evangelical Seminary
Professor of Biblical Theology
Floyd Elmore has served the Christian community for more than fifty years. He seeks to help people think like Christ so that they can be more effective in their witness and their work.

Raised in a Christian family, Floyd accepted Christ as Savior when he was 10 years old, and began preaching to youth groups at 13. His biblical training includes earning a doctorate in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has ministered as a missionary in Honduras, Costa Rica, and Cuba; as a pastor in churches in Texas and Ohio; and as a Bible professor in several Christian universities and seminaries. After serving as Professor of Bible and Greek at Cedarville University for sixteen years, Floyd accepted a call to serve as Academic Dean of ESEPA Seminary in San José, Costa Rica, and also supervise a Master’s program in Cuba. Most recently, upon relocating to the USA, Floyd began teaching at Southern Evangelical Seminary in 2012. He now serves as Professor of Biblical Theology at SES.

Floyd is married to Pamela, his ministry partner for over 50 years. They have four adult children and seven grandchildren. They both love long walks and playing pickleball.
