Dr. Joel Paulus holds a Ph.D. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, an MAA in Christian Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary, a BFA in Musical Theater from Sam Houston State University, and a trainee certificate from the Joffrey Ballet School, NYC. He has spoken on worldviews and religious issues at Colombia University in New York, the National Conference on Spiritual Counterfeits, the Greek Bible College in Pikermi, Greece, and for the L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture. Ministry positions include serving as a worship leader and interim preacher. Performance work includes regional dance companies, regional theater productions, and supernumerary duties with the Metropolitan Opera. He has taught ballet classes in the greater Houston, Charlotte, and New York City areas. Currently, Dr. Paulus serves as Director of Research in the Jamison Library at SES where he is an adjunct faculty member. He concurrently serves as artist in residence with the Union County Youth Ballet.
